What are single-use surgical instruments?
Single-use surgical instruments are intended for one procedure and are discarded afterward according to facility protocols. They do not require reprocessing for another patient. HNM single-use instruments carry a lot number for traceability.

Which single-use instruments does HNM Medical offer?
Our single-use line includes cardiac suction cannulas, Kyros suction tubes, Chroma-style suction tubes, black-coated MIS suctions, bipolar forceps, micro scissors, ventricular needles, laparoscopic aspirating needles, a Kerrison rongeur and an IR retrieval grasper.

Why choose single-use suction cannulas?
Single-use suction cannulas eliminate the need to clean, inspect and reprocess the cannula for another procedure. Sterile single-use models provide a new, sterile instrument for each case when the packaging is intact and the product is used according to its labeling.
What tip sizes are available for HNM cardiac suction cannulas?
HNM cardiac suction cannulas are available in four tip sizes:
- 3 mm: Pediatric Grafting Yankauer — HNM-1-8200-30
- 4.2 mm: Cardio Andrew Pynchon — HNM-1-8200-42
- 4.6 mm: Cardio Yankauer with holes — HNM-1-8200-44
- 5.5 mm: Cooley-Medoff Adult with detachable mount — HNM-1-8210-70
How do I choose the right suction cannula tip size?

Do single-use instruments reduce sterile processing workload?
Single-use instruments do not need to be cleaned, inspected, packaged or sterilized for reuse. Moving selected instruments to single-use can reduce the number of reusable instruments that sterile processing teams must handle.
Are HNM single-use instruments supplied sterile?
HNM single-use instruments are supplied sterile, except for the Single-Use IR Retrieval Grasper, which is supplied non-sterile. Always check the individual product labeling and instructions for use before use.
