External Fixation System
Is indicated for use in the lower extremity for
- Open and closed long bone fracture fixation.
- Tensioned wire fixation of periarticular fractures
- Correction of bone or soft tissue defects and deformities
- Charcot foot reconstruction
- Lisfranc dislocations
With a non-anatomical footplate, compression is lost from the midtarsal joint when wires are tensioned in the non-weightbearing individual. External With an anatomical footplate, no compression is lost from the midtarsal joints to the subtalar joint when both wires are tensioned in the non-weight bearing individual.
